PRO14 Rainbow Cup Fixtures 2021

It is reported that the PRO14 Rainbow Cup will start on the weekend of April 24, which confirms that Vodacom Bulls, Lions, Sharks, and Stormers’ have entered Europe for the first time.

After three weekends derby weekends, a trans -hemisphere fixture will be carried out, and in which the existing Guinness PRO14 teams will compete for the first time against the South Africa "super" teams.

The schedule has been planned to limit travel as much as possible.  Derby matches in Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa, and Wales are taking into account in the first three rounds.

In the fourth to sixth rounds, four South African teams will play away games in Europe. Once the relevant authorities and the government have confirmed all appropriate travel permits, these fixtures will be confirmed. This format means that due to current COVID-19 conditions, no European team can travel to South Africa to participate in the Rainbow Cup.

PRO14 Rainbow Cup consist of six rounds (8 games in each round) and the rankings of all teams are maintained in a single log.  The top two teams will play against each other in the PRO14 Rainbow Cup final on June 19.

PRO14 Rugby is currently negotiating with broadcast partners to select a start time and will confirm the schedule as soon as possible.
