South African Rugby and Guinness Pro14 have introduced South Africa four super teams, the DHL Stormers, Cell C Sharks, Vodacom Bulls, and Emirates Lions, which will play in the Rainbow Cup in April. The current Pro14 competition will finish in March before the Rainbow Cup and British and Irish Lions Tour in South Africa.
The South Africa Rainbow Cup will start on 17 April, and the current Pro14 competition finished 16 rounds, and the final will take place in late march between the two Pro14 conference champions.
The Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup 2021 will divide into two pools with eight teams, such as two Welsh, two South African, two Irish, one Scottish, and one Italian club.
Both pool teams will compete with each other, the team that finishes top of their pool will battle in the final match, which will be held on 19 June 2021. The Rainbow Cup final venue has not yet been confirmed.
Before the British and Irish Lions tour to South Africa in 2021, the Guinness PRO14 Rainbow Cup will give fans a breakthrough show. They will see international star players from the North and the South create new competitions in their bid for the ultimate Test selection.
