The Carling Currie Cup 2020 season has been confirmed by SA Rugby it will start on the weekend of November 27-28 and will end on 23rd January 2021. All log points from Super Rugby Unlocked will be taken to the Curie Cup.

Cheetahs will defend their title. In 2019 they won the final against the Lions, and the other contestants are the Bulls, Griquas, Cougars, Sharks, and Western Provinces.

The first round of Currie Cup includes Sharks VS Pumas, Griquas VS Lions, and Bulls VS Western Province.

The Currie Cup Semifinals will commence on Saturday, 16 January 2021, when the top four teams in the log will be eliminated from the list to advance to the final, which will begin on 23 January 2021.
