Since 2015, Italy has not won the championship, so they have picked up the extra "wooden spoon" for the fifth consecutive year in the Six Nations League. Now, they will hope to change their fate in the Autumn Nations Cup will be held from November 13th to December 6th.
Before heading to Paris to face France, Italy started its home game against Scotland and Fiji. Then their last game will against a team in another group-England, Georgia, Ireland, or Wales-in the same ranking on their pool table.
Franco Smith was permanently selected as the Italian coach earlier this year and first held a temporary position. He has selected 30 players to participate in the game.
