After Australia (AU) and Aotearoa (NZ), South Africa declared the schedule for the seven-team, seven-week Super Rugby Unlocked.
The regular Super Rugby tournament entered into lockdown in late March however, with the addition of three teams and the pursuit of the unique final in November, it returned with a domestic flavor.

The season will start on Friday, 9 October at 19:00 local time, where Emirates Lions will compete
with Cell C Sharks in Durban, and the next day Vodacom Bulls will play against Griquas, and Toyota Cheetahs will face off Phakisa Pumas.
The DHL Stormers will not play in the first round, but they will battle with the Emirates Lions next week when the men from Johannesburg will take on the Capetonians at DHL Newlands at 19:00 on Saturday, 17 October.
