After a pandemic enforced recess finally South African rugby is back on the schedule 2020, and they will compete in Superfan matches on Saturday.

South African professional rugby teams return this weekend with SuperFan Saturday. After a few months, Super Rugby and the international fixtures were wiped out, because of the global Covid-19 pandemic and strict lockdown.

The craziest fans of Sharks, Bulls, Stormers, and Bulls finally back in action and will compete for two matches, which will happen at an empty Loftus Versfeld.

The four teams will play on Saturday in Pretoria. The Sharks will play against the Bulls at 16.30 (SAST), and the Lions will compete with the Stormers at 19:00.

Before the domestic season, Superfan Saturday will be a chance for the four teams to blow the cobwebs. The season will continue until January over the festive period.

South Africa (Springboks) has been activated, and the country’s participation in the proposed Australian Rugby Championship is still ongoing.
