Initially, Australia was scheduled to host the first and third Bledisloe Cup tests in 2020. As Sydney’s two main rectangular stadiums are undergoing reconstruction, there will be no competitions in either country.
In contrast, Melbourne's Marvel Stadium was originally scheduled to host the series opener on 8th August, whereas Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium was originally scheduled to hold the third test on 17 October. The second test was supposed to take place at the newly named Wellington Sky Stadium. After losing this year's test, Melbourne will be the home of the 2020 Bledisloe Cup.
