After the confirmation from SANZAAR that the Rugby Championship will take place in Australia this season, New Zealand decided to host two Bledisloe Cup tests before the Rugby Championship.
We are dissatisfied with the decision not to permit New Zealand to host the TRC competition, but we understand and accept it, NZR CEO Mark Robinson said. The decision has now been made, and we look forward to the All Blacks playing the southern hemisphere again.
We worked very hard behind the scenes with all stakeholders, such as SANZAAR and the New Zealand government, to make sure that we were prepared and able to organize the championship, and we felt like that. We would like to be grateful to everybody who participated in this project for their hard work in hosting the competition here.
Before the Investec Rugby Championship, New Zealand rugby fans will still have the opportunity to see All Blacks play at home. Wallabies will come to New Zealand for two Bledisloe Cup games in October, and then All Blacks will travel to Australia for the tournament.
Robinson said these two games will be colossal for our fans and New Zealand. We know that the Bledisloe Cup is the top of the trans-Tasmanian event and that there is great anticipation before these games
The two home matches of the Bledisloe Cup more information such as Venue, Date, and Time will be announced in due course.
