2019 Currie Cup Premier Division Schedule
The top tier South African Rugby union event is going to start from the 12th July 2019. It’s Currie Cup Premier Division 2019 edition which will also play in the different stadiums of South Africa. This is the 81st edition of the Currie Cup Premier Division which is sponsored by DirectAxis Financial Services. After the sponsor, the event name is 2019 Currie Cup DirectAxis Financial Services. As always the organizing body of the Currie Cup 2019 is South African Rugby Union (SARU). Team Cell C Sharks or Sharks rugby won the Currie Cup Premier Division 2018 title, they are the defending champions. Western Province were the runners-up of the event.

In total 7 Rounds will be played in the Currie Cup Premier Division 2019 from 12 July 2019 to 7 September 2019. Each round consists of 3 matches of different teams. All teams will play each other in the group stage at home or away. Total 21 pool matches are there and then 2 semi-finals and Final will be played in the later stage of the tournament. The 2018 Currie Cup Premier Division had 8 Rounds and more matches than this year. The tournament is shortened to 7 Rounds because of the upcoming Rugby World Cup 2019.
